We offer
spring king (known as "springers") and Sturgeon fishing on the
Columbia river from the Bonneville dam to Cathlamet, March
through May. Springers are also found a little later on in the
Cowlitz and the Lewis rivers from mid April through june. The
is found all year but our months are Mid may through june.
Summer steelhead fishing is done mostly on the Cowlitz river
from June 1st through July and into august. Fall salmon
(chinook and coho) are intercepted on the lower Columbia from
Cathlamet to Buoy 10. This fishing is good from August through
September. October through November finds us fishing on the
Snake river at the gateway to Hells Canyon. We fish out of
Heller Bar just 25 miles south of Clarkston Washington where
you get a taste of the excitement and scenic beauty of Hells
Canyon. You will have the fishing experience of a lifetime.
Limits are common with catch and release fishing and as many
as 20 to 40 fish per day.
We anchor, back troll,
back-bounce, and troll with Quickfish plugs, herring, and
salmon eggs for the springers and the fall salmon. We side
drift and fish with eggs for steelhead on the Cowlitz and the
Snake rivers. The spring chinook will range from 12 to 30
pounds, the summer steelhead from 6 to 15 pounds, the fall
chinook to 40 pounds and the fall coho can get as big as 20
pounds plus. Sturgeon can sometimes get as big as 9-12 feet
but smaller keeper Sturgeon are also caught. We have a two
person minimum required for the Columbia, Snake, Cowlitz,
Lewis and some of the other smaller rivers in southwest
Washington. Our Alumaweld Super-Vee can accommodate up to six
people. You can review our charter rates and the best times to
fish the Columbia, Snake, Cowlitz, and Lewis rivers to help
you plan your trip. Advanced bookings and a 50% deposit is
required to confirm and hold your dates. The balance is due on
the day of your trip or at the end of the trip. All prices are
subject to change. We suggest booking early to get the days

trips. We also offer stream-side lunches for a small fee of

normal. We can sell one day charter stamps for those of you
that don't have a license. Resident or non-resident. eliminate
this portion “cost is the same.”
Rain gear and warm
clothing is always a must on most of our trips. Dress with the
layer system in mind so you come prepared and warm. Bring
gloves and a warm jacket! The weather is generally good in
most of these places but it can be nasty so bring sun screen,
sunglasses, and a hat. In other words - come prepared! A
camera is always important to get that perfect photo of your
catch or of that trophy. Get a picture of all of you standing
streamside to remember the day.
